Bruno Mars compareceu hoje ao talk show americano "Late Show With Stephen Colbert" para dar uma entrevista ao host e dar continuidade a série de divulgação de seu atual "Impeccable".
Sua participação inicia com Stephen Colbert anunciando o convidado do programa de hoje, relatando alguns de seus último lançamentos, aparecimentos na mídia e conquistas. Depois de muita fala, Bruno Mars finalmente entra no local e é recebido com uma grande salva de palmas. Bruno está vestido com uma blusa florida de cores na vibe da primavera, uma bermuda beje, sapatos comuns e um chapéu também puxado para o beje. Ele aparenta estar muito feliz de estar ali e logo que chega cumprimenta o apresentador e se senta ao lado dele.
Para não ser mal educado, Stephen começa perguntando sobre como anda a vida de Bruno Mars, se ele está muito na correria por conta de seu último single e sobre essas coisas cotidianas. Bruno simpático responde que está melhor que nunca, que apesar de toda correria ele está gostando e está muito animado para os próximos passos de sua carreira. Stephen elogia Bruno por estar extremamente lindo, e o cantor retribui a gentileza dizendo o mesmo.
O apresentador então começa a fazer perguntas relacionadas a carreira do cantor. Stephen ressalta que Bruno lançou nessa semana o video-clipe para Impeccable além de ter feito uma aparição maravilhosa no Coca-Cola Fan Festival 2019, ele então pergunta como Bruno vem se sentindo essa semana com tantas coisas acontecendo e vendo a movimentação das redes sociais sobre os seus recentes passos musicais. Bruno por sua vez fala que essa foi a semana mais corrida que teve em anos e ressalta estar muito animado com tudo isso. "Tantas coisas aconteceram, a cada dia que se passa eu vou ficando cada vez mais louco no sentido bom, é muito bom ver seu trabalho sendo repercutido por tantas pessoas e saber que tudo isso não é e vão" - disse Mars.
Stephen Colbert então pergunta para Bruno Mars especificamente sobre os comentários que ele recebeu sobre o clipe de Impeccable, ele o questiona se sabia que isso daria tanta repercussão tanto para o lado bom quanto para o lado ruim nas redes sociais e pergunta como ele vem lidando com todos os comentários. Bruno fala que desde que compôs Impeccable soube que não seria fácil lidar com os comentários que iram vir sobre, ele diz que quando lançou o clipe nem entrou nas suas redes sociais por 24 horas porque ele só queria aproveitar o momento de soltar tudo que estava sentindo sem ter que ler comentários maldosos sobre o assunto. "Eu estou desde pequeno nos holofotes, então querendo ou não acabei aprendendo a lidar com opiniões de outras pessoas, isso já não me afeta mais como me afetava a 10 anos atrás. A única coisa em que penso atualmente é em fazer a minha arte e agradar os meus fãs o máximo que me for possível" - concluiu.
Ele é perguntado se foi uma critica direta para premiações de grande porte por causa das cenas finais do clipe, porém Bruno Mars desmente essas conclusões precipitadas. "Deu a entender que era isso por muitas pessoas, mas os que prestaram realmente uma atenção maior nas cenas sabem que o meu intuito nunca foi criticar as premiações em si e sim a pressão que nós do lado de cá das câmeras temos e mostrar que também somos humanos, temos sentimentos e que não temos que deixar de sermos nós mesmos por causa de holofotes, não deixar isso subir nas nossas cabeças. Inclusive eu adoro essas premiações, eu me lembro até hoje o dia que eu ganhei o meu primeiro Grammy, aquilo foi mágico e eu nunca quero apagar essa memória da minha cabeça. É o sonho de quase todos os cantores ganhar um prêmio desse nível. Porém eu quis mostrar que aquilo não era a coisa mais importante na minha vida, eu valorizo mais o humano do que conquistas profissionais ultrapassadas" - respondeu.
Colbert então começa a fazer perguntas sobre o seu futuro álbum. Ele pergunta a Bruno se irá manter a linha de seus últimos álbuns ou se teremos um estilo diferente. Bruno responde que em todo álbum ele tenta inovar de formas totalmente espertas, ele diz que dessa vez não será diferente. O apresentador revela ser um verdadeiro fã de suas músicas românticas e melancólicas e questiona se teremos esse tipo de música no álbum. Bruno feliz confirma que terá sim, e que independente do quanto ele mude esse tipo de música sempre será suas favoritas e ressalta que essa é a origem dele. Ele é perguntado sobre a possibilidade de um segundo single antes do lançamento do álbum e o cantor apenas responde: "Podem esperar, ainda veremos o império reinar". Colbert fica animado com todo esse mistério de Bruno.
O apresentador fala sobre o lançamento de "Brazillian Bombshell", a parceria entre ele, Max Blair e a brasileira Anitta. Ele é perguntado como foi trabalhar com esses artistas e Bruno responde muito feliz: "Max é incrivel! Há tempos não via um DJ tão talentoso e competente quanto ele, foi uma experiência incrível e espero que ele faça muito sucesso, estou torcendo muito por ele. Até então eu não conhecia a Anitta, mas depois dessa parceria eu passei a ama-la de um jeito inexplicável. Ela é fantástica no que faz também e sem dúvida complementou ainda mais a música".
Para encerrar, Colbert agradece a vinda de Bruno Mars ao seu programa e diz se sentir muito grato por sua disponibilidade. Bruno Mars retribuiu falando que está honrado de estar lá também. Bruno canta Impeccable e sua participação no programa acaba.
